Christmas Craft Fair!

Tuesday, 7th December, 2010

As ever I’ve left this poor little blog all alone for far too long and forgotten to publicize the things I’m doing. Shame on me. Anyways, tomorrow evening there’s going to be another fabulous crafty goodness coffee shop fair in Rochester, this time at the new, improved and substantially larger Deaf Cat. All the best hand made stuff Medway has to offer, including a few bits and bobs by me! Come along if you’re in town!

Dead Cat Lamp Fun!

Monday, 26th July, 2010

This is what I’ve been doing! It’s going to be a lamp, eventually! Currently it’s being cast into a mould at Medway Fibreglass, where it will then be replicated in coloured recycled PET plastic – it’s a recycled pet! Some time soon these beautiful Dead Cat Lamps will be available to buy, and seriously, you are going to love how the light gets in!

There are more pictures documenting the process so far on facebook, you can see them here! Unless you aren’t on facebook. In which case I apologise and you’ll have to wait until I sort out some flikr thing or other.

Dark Mark Portrait Fantastico!

Sunday, 25th July, 2010

Following up on my last post, this is the portrait currently on show at Nucleus Gallery Chatham. Even better, in a couple of weeks it will be heading off to it’s lovely new home, having been bought by a lovely mystery fan of the man! I’m a happy girl!

That’s You That Is!

That's You That Is poster
Seems to be a while since I posted anything, been a bit busy you see. Today I have to paint a portrait of my friend Mark Barnes, Britain’s 4th greatest illustrator and purveyor of Doom at it’s doomiest. I have to do this today because it’s going into this portrait exhibition organised by the extremely talented Marissa Mardon, who painted the picture in the flyer above. I’m helping with the hanging on Friday. Must paint today!
Some time soon I will let you know what else I’ve been up to of late, it’s pretty damn cool if you ask me…
Laters!

Random wicked blog…

Friday, 25th June, 2010

Have to say I don’t know what this website is about but I love it. Collections of stuff, sometimes with some quote or other to tie it all together. A bit of an experiment in online curation? If you know what this blog is for (and the reality wont disappoint me), let me know! ta x

Creative bra ads – no boobs in sight

Tuesday, 22nd June, 2010

It’s nice to see a bit of thinking in advertising and these make me laugh. Plus I get to feel smug for getting all the jokes. Apparently some people don’t. I’m great I am. Yes indeed.

Unofficial North Korea Photos

Thursday, 17th June, 2010

Random and very interesting photo essay by a Russian guy called Artemii Lebedev on his trip to North Korea. The images are of scenes not normally photographed by tourists, compulsory tour guides tend to keep to the strict rules on what is and isn’t seen outside.

Interesting stuff.

Sketch Book Project

Wednesday, 16th June, 2010

This looks like fun. They send you a blank sketch book, you fill it in and send it back, it goes into their collection in Brooklyn then goes on tour around the States. If you want you can opt to have the pages scanned and put online. Personally I’m looking forward to nosing through the final collection somewhen next year!

Dickins Festival Crafty Buy Fun!

Thursday, 3rd June, 2010

I’m not going to be at this one as I’ve gone and made a commitment to the Nucleus Shop further along the High Street, but if you’re in the area you should drop by both! I believe at the mini market you will find the likes of One Little Bird, Chatham Girl, Keep the Ferret and some paintings by the fabulous Mr Wolf Howard. Should be good!
